Use the tier system when you rank your players for the draft

Tier ranking was made famous by Fantasy Football Weekly (fanball.com). You start with a regular cheat sheet, then you break it down into tiers where there are significant drop offs in talent. If you think the number one running back is in a class of his own, then he's in the first tier. If you believe the next 5 backs could all have an equally productive year, then put them in the second tier. And so on.

This strategy will help you go into your draft much better prepared. Sometimes it's hard to decide which position to draft, especially in the early rounds. When you have your players divided by tiers, it's much easier. You simply look at your tiers. If all of the second tier running backs are gone, but there are still second tier receivers left, then you take one of the receivers. Back to draft strategy page.
